White Label and Private Label
How Private Label Works

PLR, which stands for “private label rights” is content developed by other people who share rights with those who purchase a “resell license”. In other words, you are given a license to resell content at your own prices, and under your own brand. You become an instant info product creator.

Both private label and white label products comes in many different forms, including reports, ebooks and even software, scripts, Wordpress plugins, graphics, templates and all-inclusive video training packages!

White Label vs. Private Label

There are two main types of product licensing when it comes to selling products that other people have created. They’re similar, but slightly different, so it’s important to know the difference.
Private label rights (PLR) products are those that have been created by other people, and you purchase them for a relatively low price, and then you can edit them, change the name, claim you created them, and sell them for any price you wish.

Within the PLR marketplace, you will find many different licensing offers, some allowing you to resell the content AND the rights to others, while other licensing prevents any distribution or transfer of rights, meaning that you can only resell PERSONAL copies of the product. This is quite often the most valuable license of all because you can rest assured that the product will be limited in distribution, and not quickly saturated within the market. Stricter licensing rights also means less competition as you will be one of only a few people to ever have the rights to resell or distribute the material.

White label is slightly different. Instead of having to spend time editing a product, setting up a website to sell it, and handling payments, refunds, delivery, etc., you market a product someone else created, but it’s done under YOUR name, as if it were YOUR product. Depending on the license, you may still have to handle payments yourself, and provide customer service, support, and manage refunds.

Sometimes a lot of that will be done for you, similar in the way you’d promote an affiliate product. The main difference is that you pay an upfront fee for white label rights, and you can generate a lot more money than you would if you promoted the product as an affiliate.

You also get all the benefits of having your own product, especially building your own brand and reputation, instead of someone else’s, but without all the hassles associated with product creation.
When you sell a white label product, you usually get to keep all, or most of the sale price, but usually with an upfront fee involved. After this initial investment, which is usually considerably less than it would be to create the product on your own, you keep all of the profits.

Both white label and private label products can be extremely profitable, allowing you to build your name without having to create your own products.
Sourcing Products

There are many different places to source white label and PLR products. If you’re in a niche market, it may be more difficult because there’s no one place to source a wide variety of white label products. You’ll have to contact individual product sellers and inquire about acquiring rights. However, if you’re in marketing, it will be considerably easier, because there are lots of places to get great deals on white label and private label rights products.

A great place to start is with the products from IndigitalWorks.com. There are also great private label and white label content opportunities available at IDplr.com.

They have a lot of different products in sub-niches of the internet marketing niche, so you should be able to find something that will fit within your overall marketing plan. You’ll pay just one upfront fee, and then you can sell the products under your name, and keep 100% of the profits.

Another great way to source products in the internet marketing niche is by signing up for the email lists of all the most popular marketers. Many marketers offer white label rights to their products from time-to-time, and may offer PLR, or reseller rights as well.

Promoting Products

Once you have sourced a product to promote, it’s time to start selling it. The first thing you’re going to want to do, before absolutely anything else, is to carefully read your license. The terms of the license will dictate how you can sell the product, how you market it, how you price it, and a lot more. And the terms can vary wildly between different products, even from the same seller. Once you’ve read the license, you’ll know what you can and cannot do with the product, and you’ll be ready to prepare to sell it.

If you’re selling PLR, you will have to edit the document, graphics, and sales page, and upload everything to your own server. You may want to create your own unique graphics, rename the product, and put everything on its own domain. This is because some people, especially in a narrow market like internet marketing, may have seen the original product being sold as PLR, which will make them less likely to buy.

If you are selling a white label product, it will quite possibly be hosted on the product creator’s server, and you will promote it like you would an affiliate product, but the product will be in your name, and you will keep all or most of the profits.

Email List

If you have an email list, that will be your best resource for promoting your product. You can send out an email to let your subscribers know you have a new product for sale, and explain exactly how it can benefit them. PLR products are also great for building your list, because you can give them away as an incentive for people to subscribe. Just be sure to check the license carefully, because many PLR products have minimum pricing requirements. However, a lot of PLR packages come with bonus reports that you CAN give away, so it’s a good idea to look for those if you’re looking to build your list while also selling your own products.

Social Media

Social media is another great way to promote PLR and white label products. You can use both free and paid social media marketing tactics to promote your product. Paid methods are more likely to produce quick results, because you are able to target the right people very easily, but free methods can work well too.

When using free social media marketing methods, it’s important to understand that most people look unfavorably on people marketing too heavily, so it’s critical that you first check the rules of any platform you’re using and then check the overall tone as far as marketing goes.
For example, Reddit is notoriously harsh to marketers. That’s not to say you can’t market there, because you certainly can! But it’s important to be very subtle with your marketing, and provide lots of real value with your posts.

Facebook groups can be fantastic places to market, because they often have hundreds, or even thousands of members, that are all focused on a particular niche. However, many of them have rules that prohibit marketing, and others have very specific rules regarding how you can market to their members. Be sure to read their rules carefully and follow them so you don’t get banned and hurt your reputation with their followers. It’s best, of course, to build your own social media following on various sites. Instead of marketing to other people’s channels, you can simply market to your own. It will take some time to build a following, but once you do you will see results much faster than when you have to use other people’s channels.

Partnerships

Another great way to market your product is to form partnerships with other people in your niche and work together to market each other’s products. This is called joint venture (JV), and can be quite profitable. It’s important to understand that most people won’t respond to your request for a joint venture, especially if you don’t have a big following yet, or you’re not established in your market. Don’t get discouraged! Instead, contact people who have a similar list size, or similar social media following, and ask if they’d like to work with you.

It might be easier to do this if you’re in a niche outside internet marketing, because fewer people with be highly experienced and they will be more likely to agree to work with you. However, it’s certainly possible that some people, even in internet marketing, will agree to work with you if you have something to offer them, even if it isn’t a large following. After all, they probably remember what it was like when they first started. So don’t be afraid to try, but don’t take offense if some people don’t respond or turn you down.
Repurposing Content

While most people just use the content they buy as-is, or they edit it slightly before publishing, white label and private label content can be used in other ways, too, depending on the terms of the license. Let’s take a look at a few alternative ways to use these types of products, other than directly selling them. As always, be sure to check the terms of your license carefully to make sure you don’t accidentally violate it!

Understanding License Terms

When you purchase private label content, it’s very important that you completely understand the terms of your license. Even though PLR should always come with the option to edit the content and add your name and brand to the material, when it comes to distribution there are sometimes restrictions in place. Understanding exactly what your license allows you to do before you even begin to use the content is extremely important. You never want to risk any potential legal issues by utilizing PLR content in a way that goes against the developer’s terms and licensing restrictions.
Some of the things you want to pay close attention to when purchasing private label content include:
Whether you can edit the content.

PLR should always give you the option to customize the content, add your name, website URL and other branding information. If you purchase content that doesn’t allow modifications, it’s usually called “Resale Rights” licensing, or “Master Resale Rights”. Still, it’s important to be sure, even if they provide you with the DOC/source file.

Private label usually permits that the buyer to claim authorship, meaning that you can put your name on the content as though you were the original creator. Most other license types, such as RR (resell rights), or MRR (master resell rights) do not.

Never assume that PLR content can be distributed, sold and used in every way imaginable. Always check your license for information on any distribution restrictions (such as not being permitted to publish on Amazon, or other marketplaces), as well as any pricing restrictions.

You may also want to pay attention to whether the seller has set a minimum price. Some sellers request that you do not sell the material below a set minimum to preserve the quality of the content. While this can’t typically be enforced legally, it’s always best if you follow the seller’s wishes. If you don’t like their license terms, find another PLR seller.

And speaking of licensing, whenever you purchase PLR, you should always be provided with a detailed, comprehensive license that leaves nothing to guesswork. If you can’t find a license in your package, reach out to the developer and ask for a copy. Just the same, if you are ever confused or unsure about the terms of your license, take a minute to contact the developer before you begin to use the content.
Not all private label content offers the same licensing options, so it’s always important to confirm with the developer prior to using the material.
For example, there are many different forms of licensing, including:

Personal (non-transferable) Private Label:
With this license, you’re typically allowed to sell the content under your
own brand, but you are not permitted to pass on those rights to anyone
else.

Transferable Private Label:
These licenses often allow you to pass on private label rights to your customers.

Unrestricted Private Label:
This type of PLR license is the most flexible, often allowing you to do whatever you want with the content. In addition, certain PLR developers will allow you to even give PLR away, provided within a membership site and not offered publicly, while other developers don’t allow the content to be given away, requiring that it be sold.

If you can find a high-quality PLR developer offering fewer than 100 licenses, grab a copy. This will be the absolute best license you can find, and it’ll be much easier to sell the content and rebrand it as your own. You also want to make sure that the PLR you purchase cannot be given away. It should always have to be sold. The only exception to this is when purchasing a lead magnet PLR package.

Bundles

One great way to repurpose PLR and white label content is to bundle it, or sell it together in a package deal. And yes, this can be done even with products that are hosted on the creator’s servers, if the license allows it. For example, you can create a sales page that lists all the products you are including with the package deal, and then manually send out access to everyone who purchases a bundle that includes something that resides on someone else’s server. Then you can have a download page for those items you can upload to your own server, and explain on the download page that access to the rest will be sent to them by email.

Be sure that you’re bundling content that complement each other. For example, you might want to bundle a video creation software that you’ve secured white label rights to with a guide on video marketing, and a package of royalty-free video clips and music that people can use to create their videos. You don’t want to just throw a bunch of products together that don’t extend the value of the primary offer, because people will be confused and unhappy.

Instead, bundle products together so that they take a customer through the learning process, decrease the learning curve and help to simplify the training. Every product included in a bundle should extend the value and support one another.

Tip: Compilations should contain a variety of PLR and white label products that form a collective training program, so make sure that when you begin selecting products for your collection, that each one serves as a "module" or training lesson that covers a specific topic, and that together, they form a complete training program.

Kindle Publishing

Before we go any further in this section, you should know that you can NOT directly upload PLR products to Kindle or many other platforms. This is specifically prohibited by Amazon and many other online marketplaces. However, you CAN use PLR as a basis for books you publish on Kindle, as long as you modify the content so that it’s somewhat unique. Yes, this means you may have to do a complete rewrite of the content, however you’ll already have all the information you need to write your book! All of the research has been done for you, providing you with a solid outline that’ll cut down the time and effort needed to create something new.

You can also add content, combine different PLR products into one, and rework content so that it provides a new angle or an alternative strategy. You could also consider taking several different white label products in a similar subject area and combining them into one longer book or training course that covers a broader topic.

For example, you could take several different social media PLR products and combine them into a complete bible of social marketing. You could also create individual tutorials just by segmenting private label content into individual training lessons.

Provide Additional Formats

Another great way to repurpose PLR content into your own is to simply change the format. Turn videos into eBooks. Turn eBooks into videos. Turn everything into audio for a podcast.
By changing the format, you completely change the value of the product, because no one else will have that exact product. In addition, it immediately increases the value.

Membership Sites

Memberships are another great way to repurpose PLR or white label content, because you can get a recurring fee instead of being paid just one time. But keep in mind that membership sites need to be updated regularly in order to keep members happy, so you’ll need to make sure you have a steady supply of content in whatever niche you choose. If you’re looking to sell access to a done-for-you membership site, I highly recommend the resource available at: https://www.indigitalworks.com

As an ALP Reseller, you’re able to sell valuable memberships that give customers access to monthly lead magnet packages. CreateSpace makes it very easy to publish books on Amazon with absolutely no startup costs involved. With CreateSpace, you can instantly turn PLR content into physical (or Kindle) books, pricing them anywhere from $.99 to $99! I’ve been able to generate recurring payments from books I’ve sold on Amazon using this simple strategy for many years now, and while the quantity of books that you have in circulation throughout the Amazon marketplace will directly reflect your profit, even just submitting a handful at a time will instantly maximize your income!

Here’s the distributor I use: http://www.CreateSpace.com

CreateSpace will also take care of all the distribution work for you as well, from submitting the book into Amazon from assigning an ISBN to each book you create.

Use Private Label White Label to Maximize Affiliate Sales

One easy way to boost affiliate sales is by incorporating your affiliate links into the PLR and white label content you distribute. For example, one strategy I've used for many years is in offering "direct download" material, so that instead of forcing a visitor to subscribe to my mailing list, I create pages on my blog where visitor’s are able to download a series of PLR based reports and training guides. It’s completely free and since I don’t require an opt-in, visitors aren’t forced to commit. Instead, they are introduced to my brand without any risks involved and then when they do subscribe to my list, I know they’re already familiar with my products and are interested in my offers.

One way that I maximize affiliate sales to specific products is by tailoring my PLR content around the markets I’m promoting. On my download page, I would feature products in the same niche market that contain my affiliate links within the actual content itself, and in the resources section at the end of the book. That way, in the event my report gets distributed or shared by those downloading it, or it ends up going viral, my affiliate link is being seen by thousands of potential customers!

Free gifts not necessarily need to be in the form of e-books. You can also give free access to membership sites or videos. These free content serves two purposes: The first is providing valuable content to your subscribers and the second is to encourage them to share or direct them to relevant sources which could be either your affiliate links or sales pages. Try and brainstorm a couple of free products that you can come up with and give it to your subscribers. They say that the amount of rewards you get is directly proportionate to the amount of value you provide. So let’s start the ball rolling and start giving out more value to our subscribers!

Using PLR To Create Killer Bonuses That Capture Attention

Another powerful way to use PLR is to offer it as bonuses to people who buy a product through your affiliate link. Many successful affiliate marketers offer bonus packages in order to entice people to buy through their affiliate link instead of someone else’s. PLR and white label products make it easy for you to quickly create a unique bonus offer that ties in to the products you’re promoting!

List Building with PLR

You can also use white label and PLR content to build your landing pages and squeeze pages, as well as to power your autoresponder campaigns and email sequences. PLR makes it exceptionally easy to deliver fresh, targeted content to your subscribers which will boost engagement and foster a relationship between you and your subscriber base.

You can also use PLR articles, reports and eBooks to offer additional incentives on your squeeze page to entice visitors into subscribing to your newsletter! It’s a great way to come up with new opt-in offers and bonuses!

Create High Ticket Info Products

Believe it or not, you can also use private label content as the core foundation for your products.
While you will want to tweak and enhance the products so that they suit your own style and represent your brand, there is no reason why you can’t use PLR as the foundation in which to develop a series of high-end information products. The objective is to be very particular with the type of PLR you purchase. Focus on credible PLR developers who offer ongoing support, and who hire only seasoned freelancers who can create polished, relevant and actionable content.

The higher the quality of the content, the less work will be involved in tweaking or improving it, so keep this in mind when choosing your private label content. And again, only purchase private label content
from developers who sell only a limited number of licenses. That way, you will be one of only a few who has access to this content.

Quite often, you should expect to pay more for quality! This means that if you see PLR being sold for $5, chances are, the content is of poor quality, or low value because the developer will need to sell a lot of licenses to make up for the low cost. So, keep that in mind when looking for private label content.
Focus on only the quality of the content, and don’t worry about anything else.

You should always repackage PLR by hiring a designer to create new graphics that match your brand rather than use the graphics that come with the content (and are likely used by other marketers). So, pay close attention to the content and don’t worry about the “wrapping”. If the quality of the content is solid, grab a license, touch up the content, format it, add your graphics and sell it!

The “Big Marketing Book” Strategy

In the last section, we talked briefly about combining E-books into bundles. However, huge E-books (100+ pages) have a higher perceived value and with that you can charge a premium price to your customers. With PLR products, the task becomes a walk in the park. To illustrate, let us say you get your hands on some PLR e-books related to the personal development niche. Some topics include the holistic approach, meditation and yoga. Since these topics are somewhat related, why not turn it into the “Big book of wellbeing”? Customers who are interested in one product are also interested in finding more products related to the topic. Instead, why not give them all 3 for the price of one?

Do not underestimate the power of compact reports. These small 20-page e-books usually consist of big ideas in small packages and when combined, has great monetization potential. Feeling generous? Then give your mega e-book away and your subscribers will love you even more! The more you give, the more you get... That’s the law of attraction!

Wait... there’s more! Combining e-books to make e-books is one thing, but you can also create big products using multi PLR e-books such as a huge training course or video course. With PLR at your fingertips, the power to create endless products for your subscribers is all yours.

Podcasting PLR For Profits

Here’s a useful strategy. Have you tapped into the power of audio yet? Studies have shown that majority of people prefer to listen than read. So why not jump on the bandwagon by creating nifty products in audio format using PLR?

One good strategy is to do a Podcast of PLR product that you have. A Podcast is a more interesting product than the conventional e-book and with that you can charge your customers a fee to listen to it. To add more value to your podcast, try giving away master resell rights to it! Meaning, people who purchase a copy of your podcast can sell it to others and keep the profit for themselves. This encourages them to promote it and let the word of your services reach a wider audience.

When you give away Master Resell Rights (MRR) to a product, a smart thing to do would be to leave traces of information that lead to your website or business inside the product. That way the more others sell your product, the more coverage you will get. Why not double the value by giving customers free download access to the word transcript of the podcast? That way they can listen to it when they feel like or go back and study the podcast in the text format! People love access to different file formats and if your business can be the one to provide for that, they’ll love you for it.

Condensed “Special Reports”

Some people love to read, while others rather get straight to the point. Therefore, another way to monetize through PLR is by converting your e-books into condensed special reports (usually about 20 pages). Take the most important ideas of the e-book and turn it into a special report which is perfect for generating leads through a squeeze page or used as a gift in a giveaway event.

With the abundance of information on the internet nowadays, people want information fast and are willing to pay money to get just the raw facts. No fluff, no hassles and straight facts would be the main selling point of these special reports. These reports are also extremely effective on people with low attention spans and can be used to grab extra sales or leads for your business. Some examples of good special reports would be how-to training guides, checklists and expert interviews. Example: “Special Report On How I Created $50,000 In 11 Days!” - These are also great as free gifts or viral reports to be given to your subscribers to help you attract more leads to your website.
Other Types of White Labeling

While the previous sections focused almost entirely on PLR and White Label E-Books, there are many more white label opportunities in the 21st century.

Software

With the growing field of SaaS (Software as a Service), many software companies offer the ability to white label their own software platforms. This means that the owner or author of the software allows the purchaser to place their own branding on the software before reselling it. This type of white labeling is actually quite common nowadays.

White label software, like other types of white label products, is software where a development company has built and coded the entire platform for you. They provide the backend, the interface, and even the customer support, often for a simple monthly fee. This reduces the amount of work and overhead a reseller (someone who pays for the white label software) needs to pay for.

Even a simple Google search will come back with thousands of results for white label software. The most common of these is white label web hosting. However, white label software is by no means limited to web hosting. These days any business wishing to focus on sales and marketing can purchase white label mobile apps, SEO services, marketing services, design services, list building and lead generation services, content creation, social media sales, and even video creation.

The following is a list of sites offering white label software or services. This is by no means a complete lists; there are literally thousands of them to choose from in each category. I will simply touch on a few of each so you can get the idea.

Mobile Apps:

Website Development and Hosting:

SEO (Search Engine Optimization):

Marketing:

Design and Content Creation:

With the proliferation of the internet and connected mobile devices, anyone can start their own software, web design, or marketing company without ANY development or design experience. Ever wondered how there are so many internet based companies selling software products that look eerily similar? There's a good chance that white label software is involved.

Physical Products

In addition to the huge amount of white label software, there are many, Many, MANY white label manufacturers of physical products. Again, thanks to the power of the internet, there are a ridiculous amount of manufacturers willing to create your physical products with your designs and branding. Often times, they'll even warehouse and drop-ship the items directly to your customers. Whether its clothing, household items (such as mugs, furniture, home decor, and tapestries), or even personal hygiene products, you as an entrepreneur can pretty much have anything made and manufactured under your own brand with low overhead and startup costs.

However, where white label software is a relatively new advancement, white label physical products have been around for decades. While some companies like automobile manufacturers own their own manufacturing facilities, the categories I just mentioned above have been operating on the principles of white label for a long time.

Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty

In fact, one of the most common white label physical products is makeup. You may or may not realize it, but two of the most widely successful and popular makeup lines, Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty. If you haven't heard of them before, you might want to consider moving out from the rock you've been living under. In the past few years, both brands are responsible for creating BILLIONS in revenue. However, neither of these brands manufacture their own makeup. In my seminars and videos, I've spoken of both at length and how they turned their own brand ideas into billions of dollars using white label manufacturing.

It's not common knowledge, but both brands are made possible by a single company, Seed Beauty. Seed Beauty was founded in 2014 by a pair of siblings to be a sort of beauty brand incubator. The first brand made successful by Seed is Colourpop. The siblings that founded Seed took the knowledge they gained working at their father's company, Spatz Laboratories, and used to found their company. They realized that with their knowledge, they could bring the fast, social media driven model that the fashion industry has used to the world of makeup.

The reason Seed has been so successful, and indeed the reason that the Kardashians sought them out, is because they boast that they can take a product line from concept to creation in only five days. This quick turnaround time means that while other companies are spending sometimes months to develop a product line, Seed can do many lines in a fraction of the time.

This has helped both of the Kardashians to be able to amass huge fortunes in very little time. Kylie Jenner alone, after only starting her beauty line three years ago, has already made over $800 MILLION and is on track to becoming one of the youngest ever self-made billionaires.

Yet, being a true white label manufacturer, Seed Beauty publicly states little to nothing about their involvement with both beauty lines. Kylie Cosmetics, KKW Beauty, and Seed Beauty is a true testament to the power of using white label to run your entrepreneurship or business. If it is done correctly, no one will ever be able to tell that you aren't doing your own manufacturing.
Conclusion

PLR and White Label content will save you an incredible amount of time and money, while helping you build a successful online business in as many niche markets as you choose. The key is to purchase the highest quality PLR and white label content possible, and to put your own spin on it so that your offer is different than anyone else’s, and stands out in your niche.

Think of ways in which you can take white label content and transform it so that it provides additional value. Combine products together to create in-depth training course, repackage material so that it offers more value and customize and rebrand the graphics and other visual components so that it better reflects your brand. While PLR and white label products will instantly cut down the workload involved in creating profitable information products, the people who make the most money from white label offers are those who spend a little bit of time making them their own.

Add-ons: Consider offering additional add-ons such as appointment scheduling, form builders, or live chat software depending on your client's needs to further boost the value of your website bundle.

2. SEO Agency

Use white-label service providers to join the ranks of other internet wizards and claim your revenue share in one of the most sought-after services in the sphere of digital marketing. The market for search engine optimization (SEO) services has been growing steadily since, well, pretty much ever. It is projected that the spend on SEO for 2018 will be about $5.6 billion USD in North America alone. Critics have always forecasted the crash of the market for SEO services, but despite preconceptions, the market continues to grow. If businesses can’t conquer the SERPs, then they have very little chance of generating any traffic organically. The problem? Not many local businesses have the time, knowledge, or resources to master their SEO. That’s where you come in to the equation, and here’s the bundle you need.

SEO Bundles to Resell:

SEO Audit: By outsourcing auditing services, you can give your clients insights into keywords and pages that are working, and an in-depth assessment of site speeds, engagement, citations and so much more (ex. MarketGoo).

On-Page SEO: Under your branding, experts can optimize titles, metadata, headings, and other on-page content to identify ranking issues and optimize the pages to rank better.

Off-Page SEO: White-label service providers can build backlink relationships that will help your clients' pages rank on their most valuable keywords.

Blog Creation Services: With white-label blog creation, you can give your clients an advantage in search ranking by creating great written content and leveraging the benefits of back-linking and keyword targeting to grow search authority (ex. Textbroker).

Add-ons: Consider coupling SEO services with reputation management and listing products/services to drive conversions when prospects find your clients in the SERPs.

3. Online Reputation Agency

In 2018, businesses live and die by their online ratings and reputation. By becoming a white-label reputation agency you can meet this essential business need for your clients. According to the Pew Research Center, 91% of people trust what they see and read on search engines (online reputations), and 65% trust these results more than any other source. Local businesses that aren’t able to manage their reviews and reputations online cannot survive in 2018, and you can be their savior.

Reputation Bundles to Resell:

Reputation Audit: Performing a white-label audit and/or competitive benchmarking can help clients discover unknown reviews, and determine how they stack up against their competition.
Reputation Management: This white-labeled software allows your agency to monitor and manage every aspect of a local business' online reputation, such as: reviews, listings, and mentions. Outsource or fulfill the work in-house.

Review Response and Generation: Enable your clients to capture more of their customer feedback, and build stronger reputations with the help of this white-label software/service.

Social Media Management: Social media is a huge component of your clients’ customer facing image. White-label providers can manage content and post on behalf of your clients to ensure brand continuity throughout social platforms.

Add-ons: Video creation tools to drive greater engagement, chatbots to build instant connections, and WiFi marketing tools for your clients’ physical stores.

4. Provide the Business Essentials

Imagine if you decided on a restaurant for dinner tonight, and tried calling to book a reservation, but the number listed was not in service. How would you feel? 73% of people would lose trust in a brand at that instant. By giving your clients the business essentials they need, like listing support, you can send them into the market equipped for success. Every business needs to meet their core operational requirements before they worry about going out there and taking on the world. Some of these core requirements include: claiming their listings so they can be found on the net, being able to create internal and external documentation, building a logo, managing their reputation, and creating that ever so important website.

Suggested Business Essentials Bundles:

Listing solutions: Did you know that there are well over 100 listing sites/directories prospects could be using? Use white-label listing solutions to make sure your clients have accurate address and contact information across all of them.

Graphic design: Every great brand starts with a great logo, business card, envelope, and letterhead designs. Use white-label design services to give your clients professional logo production work.
Reputation management: White-label software so that you can either manage review responses for your clients, outsource it to a white-label agency, or simply provide your clients the ability to manage their own reputations so that the world knows they have a pulse!

Web Hosting and Design: Use white-label providers to give your clients the web hosting and design services they need to launch their business.

Add-ons: Consider reselling basic operating software such as G Suite, video marketing tools, and review generation tools to supplement this foundational bundle and generate some recurring revenue.

5. White-Label Content Agency

You know that pipe dream that most of us have of working off a laptop on a beach somewhere? By starting a white-label content agency, you can make that dream a reality. Companies benefit from written content, we know this. According to DemandMetric, companies with blogs produce 67% more leads per month than those without. The blogging industry is also projected to be worth approximately $41 million in North America this year. With the addition of video content, businesses are 53 times more likely to show up on Google. Furthermore, by adding a video to a landing page, conversions rates increase by upwards of 80%. And to make the deal a little sweeter, written content is the most commonly outsourced marketing activity. Although the barriers to entry in this space are low, it is also a fiercely competitive market, since everyone seems to be a freelance blogger in 2018.

Content Bundles to Resell:

Blog Creation: With white-label blogging, your clients can share their knowledge and expertise without losing focus on their business.

Video Creation: Video is the nectar of the gods in 2018. Build a stronger client relationship by providing them with professional videography.

Website Copy: With a white-label team, you can give your clients the power of a compelling brand story that lives throughout their entire site.

Social Posting: This white-label service can give your clients expertly crafted social posts that will drive their engagement and build brand awareness.

6.White-Label Accounting Firm

With white-label services, becoming an accounting firm, and scaling your growth have never been easier. And there’s money to be made in the accounting industry. According to Statista, the accounting, tax preparation and payroll services industries are forecasted to generate $156 billion in the United States alone in 2018. However, the “Big Four” (Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young and KPMG) are forecasted to account for roughly $135 billion of that, which can make the market for new entrants highly competitive.

Accounting Product and Service Providers to Leverage:

Accounting-as-a Service: Leverage companies that can tackle work on behalf of your team, giving you flexibility and the ability to grow and scale with ease (ex. Booxkeeping).

API Integration: If you’ve already developed an app or software, companies like Bean Cruncher Accounting can offer white-label API integration to build out more diverse and robust client facing offerings.

Accounting Products: Simply want to provide your clients with accounting software they can use themselves? White-label providers like Flexi can enable you to do just that.

Add-ons: Valuable add-ons for your clients may be apps for appointment scheduling as well as operating software such as Microsoft Office or G Suite.

White-Label Opportunities for Enterprise

White-label solutions don't only work for entrepreneurs and startups—there are many solutions that can help enterprise companies build out their revenue streams through upselling and cross-selling their clients.

Many enterprise marketing services provider specialize in one key area and dominate their respective market. These companies can use that authority and massive client-base to upsell clients with additional solutions, and not only increase their revenue, but also increase client retention. The churn study of 100K+ SMBs found that selling an SMB 1 product has a retention rate of only 30% after 2 years, but selling that SMB just 1 more product showed an increased retention rate of nearly 20%. Even further, selling an SMB four products shows a retention rate of 80%.

Here are some white-label opportunities for enterprise companies to explore:
White-Label Agency Services: Cover the full marketing stack of services from ad campaign management, to social posting, to website design and more with a white-label team that handles the fulfillment for you. This is a great solution for enterprise companies as they can add new solutions without having to add to the workload of their fulfillment team.

White-Label Web Hosting: Just like with agencies, web hosting is a great service to add to an Enterprise's portfolio of solutions—because it's hands-off and a foundational piece of a business' marketing strategy. White-label website hosting can be a huge value-add to both small and large business clients, and even help brand new businesses get up and running.

White-label Listings & Reputation Management: Listings and reputation management are services that often go under the radar, yet are blowing up in terms of SMB ad spend. Our study found that fewer than 45% of marketing service providers sell these services, yet they're a combined $600 million market. That means low competition and a huge opportunity. White-label listings and reputation can be easily added to capitalize on this, without having to build out additional divisions.

What White-Label Business Opportunity is Right for You?

The type of white-label opportunity you leverage depends entirely on your goals as a company/entrepreneur. What kind of local expert do you want to become? If you're just starting out your business, any of these solutions may be good for you to start bringing in revenue. However, you'll want to establish a stable brand and niche to give you a competitive edge in the market. As you're adopting white-label solutions, you'll need to have a strong brand and message to stand out in the crowd. Here are the key considerations when choosing a business model:

Expertise.
Where do you have the most knowledge and experience? This can be a great foundation for determining the best fit for you or your business.

Price.
Some white-label digital solutions are more expensive markets to get into than others. For example, if you were to explore becoming an SEO reseller, and take the service-heavy approach that we suggested—there would naturally be a much higher overhead cost. However, there would also be much less work involved as a reseller.

Product or service specialization.
As was mentioned near the start, white-label in the digital space is comprised of products and services. Depending on your level of experience, you will have to decide which services you would want to outsource to a white-label agency, and which you would like to complete in-house.

The easiest route to growth for entrepreneurs, startups, and other companies operating in the business service space, is digital-based reselling.
